Linda Evans

Linda is a registered nurse, legal nurse consultant, poet and published writer residing in Newark, Delaware.  She has a short story published in, “Tales of Madness and the Macabre,” and is a member of the TransCanal Writers Group.

Linda began seriously writing poetry in 2003 as a form of self therapy, creatively giving voice to her deepest thoughts and feelings.
In 2008, she was introduced to the TransCanal Writers Group with the help of then Delaware poet laureate Fleda Brown.  Linda had the pleasure of participating in the Delaware Division of the Arts poetry workshop taught by Delaware poet laureate JoAnn Balingit.

Since joining the group, Linda enjoys the friendship and support of the talented members and the opportunity to experience the evolution of her craft.

When not immersed in writing, Linda enjoys her neighborhood walk, meditation, and studying alternative healing therapies

The Artist
She paints her life
expressionist style, like van Gogh –
vivid unnatural colors and distorted lines
no likeness to the outward reality perceived
by those whose humdrum existence
revoke their artistic license
She speaks in sable strokes
creates herself on taut canvas
rich, wet, textured images…
sublime, as they dry with age
